If you have ever had a dog, you will love this book. If you don’t have a dog, you will want one before you reach the last page. I enjoyed The Art of Racing in the Rain from beginning to end. Told from an interesting perspective, it makes you think in a new way. While some parts are sweet and tender, others are deep and dark. You may want to keep a box of tissues nearby.

Yes, seriously. So, in honor of Banned Books Week (Sept. 24th to Oct. 1st), we’ve decided to review one of our favorite childhood reads: Jack London’s The Call of the Wild. Known as London’s “masterpiece”, this is a great read especially for dog lovers.
It’s about the adventures of Buck, a sled dog in the freezing Yukon during the 19th-century Klondike Gold Rush. It was removed from dictatorships in Europe during the 1920s and 1930s for being “too radical”.
Maybe because it shows us life from the perspective of a dog?
